Bald Eagles and Pacific Oyster Catchers

Good wind for sailing. We met two humpbacks coming down President’s Channel traveling side by side. Parted ways to explore Spieden Island and found a lot of bald eagle activity on Sentinel Rock with alarm calls from the black oyster catchers. After the serenity of drifting New Channel, we sailed on a beam reach at supersonic speed to Flattop Island and down. Half day sails offer an experience to remember.
