Sailing to Canada with Transient Orcas T46’s

August 14, 2017 – Beautiful sail north up Presidents Channel hugging the Orcas Island forested shoreline. We ventured a long way up into Canada to meet the transient orca family known as the T46’s. The whales were spread out in travel mode heading up Georgia Strait with the Coal Docks in the background behind them. Spectacular scenery on Saturna Island including many harbor seals with a honeycomb sandstone backdrop and bald eagle chicks calling to their parents. All of this was followed by a gorgeous sunset. As we say, “every trip is different”.
