Aug 3, 2016 – Triple hitter: minke whales, humpback whales, and L pod Southern Resident orcas. Hein Bank and beyond then heading north when reports indicated inbound from Trial Island. It was a spectacular evening. Sunset colors in mirror waters. We were with the trailing L pod members including the L47’s, L90 and L92 close together in socializing groups. Baby L122 was hanging out having fun with the older boys. Incredible vocals with the loudest vocals in air that we’ve ever heard – crystal clear under the silence of sail.
