August 8, 2017 – Headed north to sail around some of our favorite places. Flattop Island was full of bald eagle activity. About 5 of them were sharing a meal on the shoreline. Smooth sailing up to White Rock to see what the wild life was up to over there. The channel surrounding the Cactus Islands continues to grow more beautiful as the bull kelp forests grow thicker and longer. We decided to sail around Stuart Island passing beautiful Lovers Leap and many bald eagle nests. Delicious dinner was served drifting under watchful bald eagles as the sun began to set.
A full day full of eagles
- Another minke whale encounter
- A half day sail to Colville Island to see a humpback whale
