June 29, 2019 – A full day sail in paradise here in the San Juans. It was a warm sunny day and we were off to a great start when we found an eagle extravaganza on White Rock. Bald eagles were battling it out over a meal lying on the rocks. Vocals continued as different eagles swooped in disrupting the group.
Flattop Island was amazing today with more bald eagles, harbor seals, black oystercatchers, pigeon guillemots, and several river otters. Skipjack was also delightful with more wildlife surrounding the emerald jewel.
One of our passengers took the helm and sailed us downwind wing on wing down Presidents Channel. We admired the stunning coast and enjoyed our dinner watching porpoises as they puff’d around us.
