Short sail with a bit of everything

May 16, 2021 – Ribbons of Fog streamed out to the South as we sailed into the sunshine to the North following the coastline to Point Caution. After scanning North towards Canada we sailed across San Juan Channel to Shaw Island and drift sailed the Shaw coastline. We circled to confirm an active eagles nest. Sailing across to Turn Island and drift sailing through the pass where many harbor seals were hauled out warming in the sunshine, We followed the ebb current and found a few harbor porpoises fishing where the currents meet. A good view of Hurricane Ridge and the Olympic mountains to the South today.
