September 7, 2022 – We sailed around Henry Island with the plan to see Southern Resident Orcas from J pod as they were traveling north on the flood tide; however, they had other plans! They made it to Kellett Bluff on Henry Island and flipped back south toward the westside of San Juan Island. After some distant views of a few trailers we cut through Mosquito Pass and then up to Spieden Island to explore New Channel before returning back south down San Juan Channel.
