June 6, 2023 – Sailing up to Green Point, Spieden Island, we spotted a California sea lion hanging out in the bull kelp. Bald eagles were scattered about the forest in New Channel, and seas were glassy as we drifted through. We sailed across to Flattop Island and admired the golden geology in the warm evening light. Pigeon guillemots were busy courting each other and keeping each other company along the shoreline. As we sailed back down the channel we were treated to a beautiful sunset.
