September 9, 2024 – Half day sail visiting some of our favorite places…. through the Wasp Islands, along the north coast of Orcas Island, down part of the Waldron coastline to Pt Disney, White Rock National Wildlife Refuge and Flattop National Wildlife Refuge. After casting off we were watching fog roll in and out through the islands, but by afternoon the sun was shining bright. Some wildlife sightings include great blue herons, belted kingfishers, bald eagles, harbor seals, harlequin ducks and a Steller sea lion.
