May 9, 2025 – Brisk breeze from the North and close-hauled sail curved around to take us toward Tilly Rocks. A couple of tacks and we sailed through the Wasp Islands at Nob Island pass. Winds picked up as we sailed by Bird Rocks where a good many harbor seals watched us sail passed. Tacking and a short run downwind lead us through McConnell and Coon Island Pass. A bald eagle was roosting on the green marker for Shirt Tail Reef. Motor sail against the flood from Point Caution watched by a bald eagle as we passed close to shore. Nice sailing on variable light breezes.
