June 19, 2025 – We headed north with some good winds for sailing. Harbor seals were hauled out by Shirt Tail Reef and exotic animals grazed on Spieden Island. Biggs/transients orcas T65B’s and T75B’s had been southbound in Haro Strait. Our passengers were excited to see the orcas so we decided to head that way. We met them near Mandarte Island and continued with them towards Halibut Island. After some great views of socializing orcas we made tracks back towards Friday Harbor. The sunset was spectacular revealing layers of islands in many shades of golden color under a thick blanket of clouds.
