August 9, 2025 – We moved quickly San Juan Channel and into New Channel. Biggs/Transient orcas T19’s were a little too far into Canada however so we explored the calm moving waters of New Channel seeing bald eagles, Mouflon sheep, black oystercatchers and harbor seals. Continued on the flood current to Flattop Island and found both eaglets hanging out in their nest. Harbor seals were warming up with their growing pups in the sunshine on the honeycombed sandstone coastline. Returned by way of Spring Pass and the Wasp Islands.
