All Aboard Sailing

New Channel, Johns Island and Flattop Island

August 13, 2025 – Great winds for sailing. After picking up our passengers from Orcas Island we sailed through the Wasp Islands and towards New Channel. We drifted the north coast of Spieden Island, tacked and sailed through Johns Pass, and came east along the north side of Johns Island. Cut through the narrow pass by Ripple Island with the aspen grove, passed the kelp forest at the Cactus Islands and sailed across to the honeycombed sandstone geology at Flattop Island.  Sailed down to Jones Island and used the iron genny for the last leg to make our way back through the Wasp islands to Orcas Island to drop off our passengers. A great full day of sailing almost the entire day.
