May 3, 2026 – Raised sails for a close hauled sail sideways on the fast ebb tide passing Reid Rock to the Shaw coastline. We hugged the coastline to escape the ebb current and made our way North. A few tacks took us to Tift Rocks and than on to Nob Island and the Wasp Islands. Yellow Island to anchor and take the tender ashore to walk between the wildflower bloom of Camas, Harsh Paintbrush, Death Camas, Chocolate Lilly and more. Our return sail was a fast beam reach and brisk wing on wing to sail back into Friday Harbor.
