Swirl, Blind, Castle and Colville

As mighty waters ebb and flow against the Lopez shore. We caught the ebb to ride out through Cattle Pass and visit the islands south of Lopez. Swirl Island, Blind Island, Castle Island and Colville Island – nestled within the palm of Iceberg Point and Watmough Head. The first time we’ve seen a steller sea lion nursing. We thought they were all males! An eagle returned to the nest with food for the Mrs. Drifted under the walls of Castle Island and then the flood raged like a river to carry us home.
