Evening sail to Flattop and New Channel

June 18, 2021 – 5 hours later and a similar route gives such a different sail. Winds gave us the power we needed to sail though the Wasp Islands at speed. A great blue heron on Low Island is for us an interesting find as we seldom see a heron here. Multitude of harbor seals on the reef off Yellow Island. The eagles nest on Flattop and a city of seals sheltered in the eastern cove next to a granite glacial erratic. Ripple and the Cactus Islands now painted with a different light and fallow deer on Spieden. A good breeze gave us some fun sails and we tacked our way down San Juan Channel.
