To Turn Point, Monarch Head and Skipjack

August 18, 2021 – A full day sail exploring the islands and the wildlife that lives there. A bald eagle chick was sitting above its nest on Flattop Island. Adult bald eagles were near their nests in New Channel. A Peregrine falcon was near his/her home on Lovers Leap.  There were more black oystercatchers on Java Rocks than we’ve ever seen. Pigeon guillemots were mingling in large groups near Skipjack Island. A bald eagle was guarding Bare Island. Harbor seals were hauled out enjoying the sunshine.
