September 9, 2021 – We sailed south out of Cattle Pass and hugged the beautiful South Lopez coastline. After passing Point Colville we crossed over towards Deception Pass Bridge to see one of our favorite orca families, the T18’s. This is an area we don’t often visit so it was exciting checking out this pretty scenery. Together we went north passing Allen Island, Burrows Island and Fidalgo Island. We had some fantastic views but had to break off to make tracks back towards Friday Harbor. Another whale watch boat found a gray whale southbound in Rosario so we headed over to see it, too. But, unfortunately boats lost sight of it before we got there. We scanned for awhile but eventually we had to keep going. Cut through Peavine Pass and down to Upright Head with a great sail back to Friday Harbor.
