June 25, 2022 – A sail with Biggs/Transient orcas T65A’s along with T77 and T77E. We sailed north and encountered the orcas as they were southbound at the bottom of Presidents Channel. They hugged the Jones Island coastline and continued south in San Juan Channel. T65A3 was traveling on his own up ahead of the others until they passed Turn Island. After sailing with the orcas for a good part of the trip we broke off to see some other sights. Steller sea lions were hauled out at Whale Rocks and a large group of black oystercatchers flew in to join them. A bald eagle watched us sail by from his/her usual perch above Deadman Island.
