August 26, 2025 – With a report of Biggs/Transient orcas known as the T75B’s in Boundary Pass we headed north. We came through the Wasp Islands seeing harbor seals hauled out in the warm sun. Hugged the north side of Orcas Island up President Channel to Lovers Cove and rode the ebb tide across to Pt Disney. After stopping to hunt near Skipjack Island the orcas traveled southwest towards Sandy Pt where we met them. It was our first time seeing the newest family member in the T75B’s who is less than 2 months old now designated as T75B5. They stopped to hunt a harbor seal at White Rock with multiple tail slaps and a spy hop. After their hunt they rode the treadmill at the bottom of President Channel in resting mode. We sailed back to Flattop Island viewing many harbor seals on the honeycombed sandstone shoreline. Returning back to Friday Harbor we passed the orcas again which were now southbound in San Juan Channel still in resting mode. They ended up circling Jones and heading north in President Channel.
