Biggs/Transient Orcas T60D and T60E in Griffin Bay

Sept 26, 2025 – We had a report Biggs/Transient orca brothers, T60D and T60E, passing Friday Harbor heading north and then again heading south. Sailing through Turn Island Pass we met them at Danger Rock and sailed alongside as they followed the coastline to Pear Pt and Dinner Island. Winds picked up and we reefed the main sail as we continued around Griffin Bay to Cattle Pass. Hunting just north of Goose Island included spy hops, tail lobs and breaches. We left them as they cleared Cattle Pt Lighthouse and we headed to Whale Rocks to view the Steller sea lions. From Long Island we sailed back to Deadman Island seeing a bald eagle and harbor seals. Wing on wing sailing back up the channel while cooking BBQ salmon with a salad lunch. A lovely day on the water.
