Orcas T49A’s followed by T90’s with T124A4’s

May 16, 2026 – With news of orcas in the area we called our passengers for an earlier departure. Biggs/Transient orcas T49A’s had come through Cattle Pass and we met them as they rounded Turn Island. They took advantage of the fastest part of the flood current to head north quickly. Some lovely views as they surfaced traveling together. We left them at Jones Island as they continued to Spieden Channel. Sailing toward the Wasp Islands we met more Biggs/Transient orcas T90’s with T124A4’s at Reef Island. Slow travel surfacing together along the coastline of Jones Island where we left them continuing north while we rounded Jones Island. On Cliff Island we noticed a bald eagle sitting in its nest.
