Biggs/Transient Orcas T125A and T128 come inter-island

June 28, 2026 – Sailing out of Friday Harbor we received a report of T125A and T128 northbound in Bellingham Channel. We had thoughts to head north if the orcas continued north, but Barbara pointed out that they may repeat their pattern from the previous day and come inter-island. So from Turn Rock we rode the flood up Upright Channel wrapping around Upright Head. Sailed over to Blakely Island and came down the coast through Armitage Island and met the orcas at Pointer Island. They changed course to take Thatcher Pass and come inter-island and we were able to sail alongside with many good views. They took Cayou Channel and Wasp Passage where we left them. Sailing through the Wasp Islands we saw black oystercatchers, harlequin ducks, harbor seals and a bald eagle.
