August 2, 2026 – A great day sailing the Salish Sea. Harbor seals were hauled out with young pups. Cormorants and gulls were plentiful on Goose Island. Steller sea lions were gathered at Whale Rocks. Lots of bald eagles around. We cruised Salmon Bank looking for minkes. The sea otter was sleeping in a bed of bull kelp at Turn Rock.
