August 12, 2026 – Shortly after casting off we encountered a family of Biggs/Transient orcas known as the T46B’s (minus T46B1’s, T46B3’s and T46B6) northbound near Fisherman’s Harbor, Lopez Island. It looked like they’d take Upright Channel, but backtracked towards San Juan Channel. Beautiful views ad they traveled along the Shaw Island coastline. We left the orcas abeam of Pt George before sailing back to Friday Harbor at sunset.
