August 18, 2026 – A fabulous day on the water. We sailed with Biggs/transient orcas T49A’s as they circled Stuart Island. Stunning views against Lovers Leap and backlit blows against the forested northern coastline. After leaving the orcas we came through New Channel spotting harbor seals, bald eagles and a great blue heron. As we returned down San Juan Channel we spotted black oystercatchers, harbor porpoise and belted kingfishers.
