October 2, 2026 – Short sail around Turn Island. Wildlife observed: harbor seals, a juvenile bald eagle, great blue heron, Canada Geese, cormorants, common murres, rhinoceros auklets and the sea otter at Turn Rock. We hoped to find the orcas (T19’s) that were reported northbound from Cattle Pass an hour and a half earlier, but turns out they had taken Upright Channel and were out of view already.
