September 19, 2021 – We had an exciting encounter with a pair of humpback whales as they traveled northbound on the west side of San Juan Island near Lime Kiln Point State Park. One of those humpbacks was possibly identified as MMX0007 aka “Bond”. There were Southern Resident orcas from L Pod in the area by Henry Island. We were fortunate to see them, too, (including L86’s new calf, L125) as we continued our journey circumnavigating San Juan Island.
