July 11, 2022 – An incredible full day sail. Today was one of those days where “it doesn’t get any better than this.” Trip highlights include bald eagles, many harbor seals hauled out including our favorite “black matte naked seal”, cormorants and gulls nesting on Goose Island, Steller sea lions on Whale Rocks, multiple minke whales including lunge feeding and a pair swimming side by side, Southern Resident orcas (J’s, K’s and L’s present on the west side), bow riding Dalls porpoise, pigeon guillemots and rhinoceros auklets, views of Olympic Mountains, Mt Baker and Mt Rainier plus Cattle Point Lighthouse.
