June 16, 2025 – Trip highlights: Great sailing. Many pregnant harbor seals at Shirt Tail Reef, White Rock, Skipjack and Bare Island. Pair of bald eagles in their nest on Flattop Island with a pair of eaglets visible (first time for us spotting the chicks!), adorable black oystercatchers, Steller sea lion in the water at Skipjack Island, stunning views of Mt Baker, Biggs/Transient orcas T65B’s north of Barnes and Clark Islands. It was a quick orca encounter as they were eastbound towards Lummi Island and we were a long way from home. We covered 46 miles circling Waldron and Orcas Island. A great day on the water for our full day sail.
