Orcas T65B’s with T124A4’s in Boundary Pass

June 25, 2026 – We sailed north quickly with a report of Biggs/Transient orcas T65B’s with T124A4’s heading from Green Pt to Flattop Island to White Rock. With a following wind and sea we ducked in behind Flattop Island to reef the main sail. Pressing on we met the orcas rounding Sandy Pt. Reducing sail to third reef in the blustery conditions we were able to sail alongside as they took a zig zag course towards East Pt, Saturna Island. Leaving them we set course to Skipjack Island with a lovely view of the harbor seals including a pup visible. Circliing the island to drift the south side we crossed to Bare Island to see more harbor seals and a bald eagle with the cool shapes in the honeycombed sandstone. We hugged the Waldron shoreline before crossing to Lovers Cove. Another bald was swimming (like yesterday) and climbed onto the rocks with a large fish. We followed the Orcas Island shoreline and with a straight course back to Friday Harbor.
