Epic Sail with Orcas T36’s, T100’s and T137A in Boundary Pass

August 9, 2026 – With news of orcas in the Belle Chains heading towards East Point, Saturna Island, we made speed with the flood current up President Channel. Crossing to Waldron Island we ducked into Bare Island and Skipjack Island for the views of the harbor seals that haul out on these picturesque National Wildlife Refuges. We caught the flood current again to sail past East Pt and Boiling Reef and met the orcas at Tumbo Island. Orcas ID’s were the T36’s, T100’s and T137A. We watched as they passed over Boiling Reef before crossing Boundary Pass towards Waldron Island. A couple of breaches as they appear to be hunting near Mail Bay before continuing down the coastline of Waldron Island. We left them to sail across to Lovers Cove and admire the shoreline of Orcas Island. Incredible day with beautiful views of the orcas.
