August 22, 2026 – After sailing down to Turn Rock to see the sea otter rolling around and grooming his coat we sailed towards Upright Channel. Here we met Biggs/Transient orcas from the T109A’s at Squaw Bay after they had come inside Canoe Island pass, Shaw Island. We sailed parallel on the flood current as they hugged the coastline up to Pt George. We sailed ahead to explore the Wasp Islands with a brief view of them again while sailing back to Friday Harbor.
