June 30, 2026 – We sailed North to Point Caution, to the Wasp Islands and through Spring Pass to Presidents Channel with view of eagles and hauled out harbor seals. Hugging the shoreline we continued to Lovers Cove with more good views of Bald eagles and an eagle’s nest near the head of Turtle Back mountain. From Lovers Cove we sailed out across the channel and the met the Biggs, also known as transient, orcas of the family T65Bs. After some playful behaviour with a few breaches their course changed several times from North to Southend back again. We were unsure if they were involved in hunting or simply indecisive but they eventually stalling on a treadmill against the current pointed South. We left and they remained I the same location for some hours so we saw then again on our evening sail. Our return route crossed the Wasp Islands again and we noticed an adult eagle in the eagles nest of Cliff Island.
